"Ever Ancient Yet So New"

There is so much to talk about God, and He is what the world needs yesterday, today, and forever. Like what Saint Augustine of Hippo encountered before his conversion, our restlessness could drive us to anything and everything in the world, but we would never get satisfied. St. Augustine found it out the hard way when he engaged his life in licentiousness, looking for something or anything in the world, yet failed to recognize the greatest reality within him -- God, the Immanuel! He was looking for something to satisfy his hunger yet he didn't know that God, who alone has the power to save and presence to fill in his longings and emptiness, is just within him.

As a result of this great discovery, Augustine's greatest moment of this WOW moment was to say "... late have I known you so ancient and ever so new." Augustine also said, "Lord, you have made us for Yourself and our hearts are restless until they rest in You."
